Dynamic Paint Products, Inc. Replaces Highly Customized Legacy Systems With One, Seamless Distribution Solution from Microsoft Business Solutions and MaxQ Technologies
With the goal of achieving a rapid return on investment (ROI), Microsoft and MaxQ’s value added reseller CANSYS, Inc., collaborated with Dynamic® to identify its supply chain process and selection of the best solution. “The combined Microsoft/MaxQ solution will enable Dynamic to leverage investment in Microsoft’s commitment to technology leadership with MaxQ’s deep industry experience,” said David Huether, Vice President, Supply Chain Solutions, CANSYS, Inc.
“Microsoft’s Solomon edition product provided a solution that was robust immediately out-of-the-box. Our current solution has been heavily customized over the years to meet our on-going and future needs. This has limited our ability to enhance processes and access to information and could not be used as a platform that would help accelerate our growth in the future. Solomon’s architecture allows us to scale our ERP requirements with the growth of the organization while limiting customization,” said Shawn Smith, Dynamic’s Vice President of Finance and Operations.
“The MaxQ suite of products allowed us to leverage our sizable investment in our current Radio Beacon Warehouse Management System,” continued Smith. “MaxQ also delivered in-depth forecasting capabilities which will greatly improve our advanced product replenishment methods, the core of our business. Solomon/MaxQ will allow us to be much more effective in our supply chain network along with their robust analytical capabilities that will allow us to better understand customer sales and product activity. Displaying the information to key team members on an executive dashboard format for instant analysis will allow us to truly manage the business by becoming more agile with the complete information picture.”
For Dynamic®, the decision hinged on finding a local partner that had the experience, capability, and track record to understand their business, address business issues with software and/or business process re-engineering while remaining committed to meeting budgetary and timeline requirements. CANSYS, Inc., in Toronto, Ontario has been able to demonstrate that they meet these requirements. “We went to great lengths to ensure we understood Dynamic’s business issues. This investment resulted in a very robust set of software capabilities that will allow us to utilize our 20+ years of distribution knowledge and system implementation methodologies” said David Huether of CANSYS, Inc.
Dynamic® is now at the beginning of their implementation of the new solution and expect to be fully implemented by the first of next year.
