Nuremberg, Germany (February 26th, 2001) - Harald Heim Software (http://www.thepluginsite.com) has released Version 1.52 of Plugin Commander. Plugin Commander is a tool for dealing with various image formats, plug-ins and effect types from various image, animation, video and 3D applications. Hundreds of useful functions are available for this purpose.
New in Version 1.52
The new features of Version 1.52 make it very easy to manage and maintain your collection of Paint Shop Pro effects. Ten new Paint Shop Pro file types are now supported by Plugin Commander including tubes, shapes, textures, patterns, brushes, frames, gradients, images, masks and styled lines. Most of these types can be viewed in the Preview window and some are even displayed in the Browser. These PSP effects can also be disabled to make only those effects you really need show up which prevents the dialogs from getting cluttered and Paint Shop Pro from running slower. Additionally Plugin Commander's new FX Download dialog lets you search for specific PSP tubes (among over 1000 categorized ones) and directly connect to the internet for downloading them.
Manage and preview your plug-ins and other effects comfortably
Plugin Commander enables you to control which plug-ins and effects are displayed in your host application. Support for more than 30 different plug-in types and other effect materials (especially Photoshop-compatible, Premiere and After Effects plug-ins and PSP effect files) is provided as well as the possibility of defining your own file types. You can make Photoshop-compatible and After Effects plug-ins display anywhere in the Filter menu and see a simulation of Photoshop's Filter menu. The effects of Photoshop-compatible plug-ins, some Premiere plug-ins and Paint Shop Pro effect files are calculated in real-time and preview images of other plug-in types can be viewed. These previews are shown in the Preview window, the thumbnail browser or the Picture Editor.
Apply and convert plug-ins and images easily
You can apply Photoshop-compatible plug-ins directly to images within Plugin Commander to create most interesting image effects. You can either process one image at a time in the Picture Editor or use the Batch dialog to apply a series of image effects to a list of images. Additionally, the Batch dialog can convert between different image formats, but also resize and rename images at the same time. Furthermore, Plugin Commander is capableo of converting among four Filter Factory plug-in formats and Operating Systems: Photoshop, Premiere, Windows and Macintosh.
Dozens of other useful features
At any rate, Plugin Commander offers a variety of other remarkable possibilities. For example, it allows you to edit your images, archive thousands of free Filter Factory plug-ins, create your own plug-ins with the Filter Factory Editor and manage your files. It is flexible and partly skinable interface makes it easy and effective to use. The caching and multithreading technology adds a great deal to the speed of performing various tasks.
Availability and System Requirements
Plugin Commander is available for Windows 95, 98, Me, NT and 2000. Plugin Commander sells at a very reasonable price of $49.95 and can be purchased from http://www.plugincommander.com. There is also a feature limited, Light Edition of Plugin Commander which is freeware. The manual, tutorials, videos and further details can be viewed there, too.
